Reading and copying transcripts
Sprints reads the captions available for the video you are watching. Searching the transcript, jumping to timestamps and copying text work on your device without an account. Your transcript search is not sent to an AI provider.
If you choose ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, Sprints places the transcript in that service’s message box. You can review and edit it before sending. That service’s terms and privacy policy apply.
Accounts and payments
Clerk handles sign-in. Sprints uses your account to provide your subscription and private Library.
Lemon Squeezy handles checkout and subscription billing. Sprints keeps the payment, subscription and usage records needed to confirm access and resolve billing questions. Application logs record event types and counts rather than raw sign-in or payment data.
AI summaries and your Library
Before generating a summary, Sprints asks you to acknowledge how your content will be processed. It sends the transcript, video title, channel, language and summary instructions to OpenRouter and the selected AI provider. Sprints requests processing without provider data collection; providers’ own retention terms still apply.
Your private Library contains saved summaries, video details and source excerpts. Saved summaries do not include the full transcript or audio.
AI transcription
If you request AI transcription, Sprints shows the number of minutes needed before you confirm. Sprints does not record browser audio, upload browser media or store video files.
Known private, unlisted, live and restricted videos cannot be transcribed.
Deleting your data
You can delete one summary, a video’s saved history, all summaries or your account. You can still read, export and delete your Library after Pro ends. Account deletion requires a recent sign-in and finishes after subscription cancellation and sign-in account removal are confirmed.
